Both Drs. Lim and Machida have been providing cosmetic and family dentistry in Lynnwood since 1998. They both graduated with their Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degrees from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 1995 and 1994, respectively.
Dr. Lim received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology from the University of Washington and even served as a research technician for the UW Dept of Molecular Biology prior to entering dental school. She grew up in Seattle and graduated from Rainier Beach High School with honors.
Dr. Machida got his Bachelor of Science Degree in both Microbiology and Biochemistry/ Biophysics from Oregon State University. Originally from Hawaii, he has been in the Pacific Northwest since 1990. The main reason he stayed in Washington instead of returning to the Aloha State was because of Dr. Lim. They met in dental school and are now happily married with two wonderful children.
Both Drs. Lim and Machida's mission and philosophy is to provide quality cosmetic and general dentistry for the whole family, using current and "tried and true" evidence-based dental science, techniques, and materials with a gentle, caring touch, and to see each individual as a person and not just "another mouth". To truly "treat each patient and customer as we would want to be treated." They also strongly believe in conservative and preventive dentistry, and are thus, dedicated to continuing dental education via seminars, study clubs, and symposiums to keep current.
